Why Learn CW?
We believe that although you don't have to KNOW CODE to pass a test, you may find great enjoyment in learning and using code. Large portions of the amateur radio spectrum are restricted to CW (and digital). Without CW skill, many contacts and a lot of fun are missed. We are proud that many “new” hams have learned CW and are now on the CW portion of the bands having FUN!

CW Classes
In 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014 the CW SIG sponsored a CW class. Times and technology have changed. Now we host a Zoom meeting every Wednesday evening at 8:00 to 9:00 pm. This is the place to come if you are looking to get started, learn new skills, want to share your experiences with other OPs, or are just curious about CW this is the place to come. Steve Randall, KO4VW is your host. We have had some very good results helping people get started on the right track and get on the air. We will try and help you meet your goals whether it be slow speed ragchew or high speed contesting. We use W4QO’s method, the old ARRL method, for quickly learning the alphabet. It is very important to get started the right way so as to not learn bad habits you must break later.
