NFARL is offering the Scout Radio Merit Badge Workshop in conjunction with our Field Day activities starting at 8:30AM on Saturday, June 22th, 2024 at Groveway Community Park (previously Waller Park Extension), 160 Frank Lewis Drive (previously Dobbs Drive), Roswell. US Islands One Day Getaway

Now that the GA QSO Party is over, what’s next?  It’s our first major outing – the U S Islands One Day Getaway on Saturday May 11, 2024.  Aside from Hungry Hams, this is an in-person event (outdoors) that’s a world of fun.  Bring your own radios and antennas to try out or just join in on the radios we will have set up.  We set up in the large pavilion, so we have picnic tables and full cover.  Electric power should be available.  [For more about West Island’s facility, photos of our One Day Getaway there in 2018 are […]

NFARL Mini HamFest

NFARL will have a mini Hamfest for our September 20th club meeting at our normal meeting location at Preston Ridge Community Center, 3655 Preston Ridge Road Suite 100, Alpharetta, GA 30005. This will be an indoor event – air conditioning and no rain!!  Meeting room doors will open at 6:00 pm so participants can start getting set up. Now that the Georgia QSO Party is behind us, our next event will be our 45th Birthday Celebration and US Islands One Day Getaway event on May 14. This will be at West Bank Park at Lake Lanier. This is a special operating event, listed in QST magazine. We will be operating under the club call sign, NF4GA.
