Get Ready for the Georgia QSO Party (GQP) and the NFARL Challenge!

The Georgia QSO Party (GQP) for 2025 occurs on April 12th & 13th, just 13 days away!!

The updated list for the 2025 "NFARL Challenge" is posted below.

Are you on the list?

The "Challenge" is a friendly NFARL club event within the GQP. Noting your participation in advance enables us to keep team members updated on the progress of the "Challenge". Adding your name will enable us to track and listen for the familiar calls in the contest, and also tally scores for the "NFARL Challenge" awards program. Certificates will be awarded ¹ in many categories for various achievements.

As the GQP approaches, here are some important items to consider in preparation:

Logging software:

• Is your contest software loaded on your computer and tested?

• Is your radio interfacing correctly with the contest software?

• If you are new to contesting and the GQP, there are 2 popular contest loggers, N1MM and N3FJP. If you need assistance loading and setting up these software tools in advance of the GQP please contact one of our logging Elmers to assist you.

Antenna and related systems:

• Are your antennas tested and in good shape?
• Have you evaluated peripheral devices - keys, headsets, microphones, footswitches - are they tested and at the ready?

Attention to these details before "game day" will allow you to enjoy and spend more of your time operating, and not chasing issues when the GQP begins and the bands are hopping.
