With the unanimous approval of the NFARL Board, I have appointed Tony Santoro to serve as Secretary on the NFARL Board for the 2027–2028 term.
Tony stepped up this year with a Candidate Application, offering his services to the club. We had two candidates for Vice President, and Ian won the majority vote. Over the past several months, Tony and I have had several conversations about his interest in helping lead NFARL. When I asked him to take on the Secretary role, he accepted enthusiastically.
Tony is a unique fit for the job. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, NFARL now has legal requirements for managing its records, including its digital documentation and assets.
Bylaw authority: This appointment follows Section 3.25.8 (Vacancies) of the NFARL Bylaws. That section gives the President authority to appoint an eligible member to fill an un-elected office, as long as a majority of the Board approves.
