Get Involved - Your Way!
Hey NFARL Members!
Want to get more involved with the club? That's fantastic! Our club thrives because of people like you stepping up, sharing ideas, and lending a hand. We know everyone's busy, so we want to make it easy and enjoyable for you to participate in whatever way works best for you.
Your Club, Your Contribution, Your Schedule
The most important thing to know is this: there's absolutely no minimum time commitment or pressure. Seriously! Whether you have an hour to spare once in a while, a specific skill you'd like to share occasionally, or just a great idea, every single contribution makes a real difference.
From helping set up for a meeting or event, sharing your technical knowledge, assisting with our communications, or simply bringing your enthusiasm, it all adds up to make NFARL a vibrant and successful club. Contribute what you can, when you can – that's the NFARL way.
Ways You Can Participate
- Share Your Knowledge: Did you build something cool (antenna, electronic gadget, 3D printed project)? Figure out some tricky software configuration? Learn how to operate a new radio? Share it in a presentation, an informal workshop, or an article for the website.
- Join an Existing Activity: Field Day always needs extra hands. No expertise required - just show up and help where needed. Contact our Activities Coordinator for current opportunities.
- Propose an Outing: Want to organize a POTA expedition to a nearby park? Have an idea for a group build session? Let's make it happen!
- Tell Your Stories: That amazing contact you made during a contest. The DXpedition you participated in. The remarkable person you met through a QSO. These stories inspire other members - share them!
- Share Your Favorite Nets: Participate in interesting nets? Let other members know about them.
