After years of tinkering and redefining my Liberal Arts and Humanities education I have toiled rigorously to understand technology. Although my military exercises put me on this path I hadn't quite embraced nor had the power to know what fundamental path I was on. Upon stumbling on an electrical apprenticeship the technical development began. Here I AM NOW writing my 1st piece of literature on my current experience. My 1st article and or Blog post as a regular guy giving AI and LLMs a shot. My brother Sahr Nelson Nyandemoh always motivated me . Now my life hobbies include #technology #radiofrequency #fpv #linux #it and so much more.
My introduction to artificial intelligence began as a curious, everyday person—a hobbyist and minor technologist, but also a general skeptic. Like many, my initial apprehension was fueled by the fears instilled by science fiction. However, what I discovered was not something to fear, but a tool that was exciting and downright exhilarating.
A Lifelong Passion for Learning
Since childhood, I’ve been dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. I vividly remember diving into Encarta Encyclopedia CDs, flipping through dusty Britannica volumes, and getting lost in libraries. My natural state has always been to learn—and that hasn’t changed.
In fact, this passion has only intensified. Whether it’s through textbooks, YouTube deep-dives, or real-world projects, I find peace in expanding my skill set. But with the rise of AI—particularly powerful tools like ChatGPT—I found a new kind of learning partner: one that’s always available, infinitely patient, and incredibly adaptable.
Organized Curiosity
Reluctantly, I admit—using a large language model has been a cure for my self-prescribed A.D.D. I’ve always had a wild curiosity that spans disciplines, but I used to feel fragmented, as if my interests were too scattered to be productive.
AI changed that.
Now, I can flow between cybersecurity, RF communications, Linux, and building automation—and make real, measurable progress. I no longer see my multidisciplinary mind as a burden. I see it as an asset—and AI is my co-pilot.
Projects Powered by AI
Here’s a taste of how AI has enhanced my hands-on journey:
Wardriving with Flipper Zero + Awok Dual Mini:
With ChatGPT’s guidance, I mastered how to collect GPS-tagged WiFi data, understand logs, and upload to Wigle.net—while understanding the ESP32 architecture behind the scenes.
Ham Radio + Digital Comms:
As a licensed ham, I’ve dug into APRS, Winlink, JS8CALL, LoRa Meshtastic, and off-grid Raspberry Pi servers. ChatGPT helped streamline the documentation, node building, and SDR setup process—turning complexity into clarity.
Building Automation Systems (BAS):
Transitioning from tech to programmer, I now use Niagara 4 and Johnson Controls’ tools to configure control logic, sequences, and real-world systems. AI helps me validate code blocks, build out training sequences, and stay focused on industry standards.
Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking:
From Linux for Hackers to TryHackMe, AI has acted like a personal tutor. I’ve built out Kali Linux labs, run Metasploit, set up sniffers, and done real-world packet capture with live feedback and coaching from my AI assistant.
A Note on Balance
Even while running a company, teaching Jiu-Jitsu, building a BAS lab, and raising a family—I still grow. I eat clean, train daily, and never stop learning. This lifestyle isn’t overwhelming anymore—it’s finally focused, thanks to this technology.
Conclusion & Dedication
This article is dedicated to my daughter, Atia, my genetic clone, who shares this relentless thirst for knowledge and the beauty of exploring life through curiosity and intention.
May we all continue to learn, teach, and share knowledge freely.
And may AI remain a tool—not to replace us—but to empower
Wonderful that you are passing it on…. to the next generation…. esp to the one of your making 🙂
Nicely written Yusef! I'm always curious as how others have used their interest in investigation of new (to them) or differnt aspects of physical science. Keep on going!
