At the end of June 2025, I expect NFARL to be capable of stating they’ve completed another successful Field Day event. Most of June is typically spent putting the final touches on the Field Day plans, including prompting those who haven’t responded yet to to requests for on the air and volunteer assistance. Also for attendance at the Saturday evening picnic. Our club uses its membership participation to help ensure we deliver positive membership experiences!
This year’s Field Day experience has all the elements to potentially make it an interesting and enjoyable event for all who participate. We’ve got connections to the website via QR codes that describe the various stations and activities there. We’ve got nice radios to work the event with. It should be a great experience for everyone who participates!
So- Field isn’t everything this club is geared up to handle. We’ve got another six months in 2025 where we can utilize the depth of knowledge and breadth of capabilities associated with NFARL members to expand amateur radio experiences and enjoyment. There are a couple of noteworthy amateur radio events happening in our geographical area during the next several months. Huntsville Hamfest, Stone Mountain Hamfest, and HamJam are a few that come to mind. What would you like to see the club do in regard to participating in these gatherings? Drop us a reply at president@nfarl.org to let the Board know what you’re thinking would be a great idea!
In the meantime, stay safe, enjoy life, and get on the air with your amateur radio license!
