Field Day Bulletin #7a
The Bulletin 7 Errata
June 20, 2008
Apparently, when you sit down to write these bulletins late in the evening, you tend to forget a few things. Like I did. Last night. So here are a couple of items I forgot to mention. Sorry, folks!
Food
In one of my previous bulletins, I listed Shelia Staton as one of the food captains, and even went so far as to suggest people contact her with food questions or to volunteer. The only problem was, I didn't put her email address in the bulletin. So, here it is: sstaton@mindspring.com. Please contact Shelia, as well as Lynn, KJ4DYH (kj4dyh@nfarl.org) to find out what we need and to volunteer to bring those items.
Important Note: Please only RSVP for dinner to Lynn, KJ4DYH at the email provided above. She's keeping the central dinner head count. Thank you.
Attendance Incentive
I also neglected to mention the attendance incentive for coming to Field Day. The club will raffle a $100 gift certificate to HRO. To be eligible, you must come to Field Day, sign in (which also gets you a collectible 2008 NFARL Field Day pin), and work at least one QSO. Once you've met these requirements, you'll be given a ticket, which represents your chance to win. Note that your board, executive committee, and Field Day co-captains (9 people total) are not eligible to win. So that ups everyone else's chances of winning. But you have to show up, sign in, and work a station to be eligible. Non-hams who satisfy the above requirements are also eligible. That includes your children, spouses, neighbors, their kids, etc.
Update – Elected Officials
As of this afternoon, here is the schedule of elected officials attending Field Day:
So, as another attendance incentive, you have the chance to meet and talk ham radio with your elected officials.
OK, I think I've covered everything I forgot last night. Until next time,
