GOTA Station Rules
I want to clarify one item for our Field Day operations. Per ARRL
rules, the GOTA station is only for hams licensed since last Field Day
and inactive hams. The League defines inactive hams as:
"1) Any licensee who has never made HF contacts would be considered
inactive.
2) Someone who has made no QSOs in the last two years would be
considered inactive.
3) A person who operated the GOTA station as a generally inactive
licensee last year would not be eligible to operate the GOTA station in
the following Field Day."
The descriptors above come directly from this year's Field Day packet
and an email I received from Dan Henderson, N1ND, the League's
regulatory information manager (the rules guy).
We greatly appreciate, and want and need, everyone's participation.
However, if you don't meet the criteria set out above, please
volunteer to work one of the other stations we'll have. Please
