August Meeting

Club members and guests gathered at the Alpharetta Adult Activity Center on August 20th for our monthly meeting. The meeting included a double feature. Audrey McElroy, KM4BUN and her brother Jack, KM4ZIA presented "The Other End of the Pile-up: Our Story in Curacao. Dr. John Kludt, K4SQC followed the duo with "Some Thoughts on Amateur Satellites".

Audrey and Jack's Dad, Tom McElroy, W4SDR introduced their presentation on their experiences at the Dave Kalter Youth DX Adventure. The event was held in Curacao on July 14-18, 2019.

Both of the young people showed lots of poise in front of our members.

John, N4TOL discussed the Georgia QSO Party results and handed out a few trophies from the April 2019 event.

Larry Patten, K9OQ earned the 1st Place Overall Rookie Award and was first in Forsyth County.

Eddie Thompson, AE4TQ was the 2nd place rookie in the single operator high power category.
