Girl Scout STEM Expo
Girl Scout STEM Expo
Thanks to all the volunteers (14 total!) from ARC, GARS, and NFARL, for putting on a very successful interactive booth at the 2016 event. The organizers sold out the 2300 advance tickets and were hoping that less than 300 more would walk-in. We were in the robotics building and did not see all the attendees, but we were busy all day and left with tired, but happy, feet. ARC provided the send your name in Morse Code station, GARS provided an HF station and multiple signs, poster, and flyers, and NFARL provided the new ARRL Girl Scout patch information along with a roving radio operator, an introduction to Lenz's law, crystal radio kits, and the spectrum allocation chart.
