Mark Your Calendars
All,
As you all know, Field Day is rapidly approaching. Please mark your calendars for June 26-27, 2010. Once again, we'll use the Waller Park Extension for our site. We'll use the call sign K4JJ (the club's newest call) as our site call sign and NF4GA as our GOTA call sign.
We will have four other stations at Field Day this year besides the GOTA station: CW, 20m SSB, 40m SSB, and VHF/UHF (everything 6m and above). This makes us catgory 3A again (the GOTA and VHF/UHF stations don't count toward our category). We will have sign up sheets for the various stations beginning at the meeting next Tuesday, 20 April. Also, the captains will all be posting requests for operators from now right up until Field Day.
We also still have a need for volunteers to fill several positions at Field Day: shift captains, runners, greeters, talk-in operators, and others will be needed at Field Day. I will briefly discuss these positions during my presentation at the meeting Tuesday. If you can take some time during Field Day and help with these vital roles, please email the Field Day team at fieldday@nfarl.org.
